On 14th October, 2015, Sino-Ocean Land Holdings Limited (“Sino-Ocean Land”) (03377.HK) publicly announced that it had officially signed an agreement to subscribe the shares of  China Huarong Asset Management Co., Ltd.(“ChinaHuarong”), an asset management company with the largest asset size in China, for HKD5.3 billion, making it the largest cornerstone investor to China Huarong’s IPO of H-shares at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Cathay Associates Kejie represented Sino-Ocean Land in this transaction. Cathay Associates Kejie team was led by partner He Jie and included Zhang Fang, Li Xin, Lei Yali and Zhang Yichen.

Sino-Ocean Land was listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 28, 2007. Cathay Associates Kejie also advised Sino-Ocean Land on its foreign private placement of USD200 million in 2006, IPO of USD1.7 billion in 2007, bond issuance of RMB2.6 billion in 2009, offshore securities issuance of permanent subordinated convertible shares for USD900 million in 2010, offshore issuance of permanent subordinated bonds for USD400 million in 2011, offshore issuance of senior bonds for USD12 billion in July 2014, offshore issuance of seniorbonds for USD12 billion in February 2015 and public bond issuance of RMB10 billion in September 2015.
