In order to fully implement the guiding principles of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, seriously put the Opinions on Developing theForeign-Related Legal Service Industry issued by four national ministries and commissions (including Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China) into effect, strengthen the construction of foreign-related legalservice group, cultivate a group of high-quality foreign-related lawyers whoare familiar with international rules, have a global vision and an international perspective, to better provide excellent and efficient legalservice for implementing China national economic development strategies (suchas the “Belt and Road”) and for Chinese enterprises/citizens to “Going Global”,Ministry of Justice decided to establish a national/provincial (district andcity) talent pool of foreign-related lawyers.

Ministry of Justice organized the judicial bureaus of all provinces (districts and cities) to carry out the application ofthe talent pool, collected and reviewed all application materials submitted,and then announced the Pre-Admission List of Thousands ofForeign- Related Lawyers in China recently. As to be madepublic, about 988 lawyers from thirty provinces were selected into the list,including 170 lawyers from Beijing.
