In order to fully implement theXi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era andthe guiding principles of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, to seriouslyput the arrangement of the Chinese central government about deepening thereform of the lawyer system and developing foreign-related legal service into practice, to strengthen the construction of legal service group specially handling foreign-related matters, and to cultivate a group of qualified foreign-related lawyers who have a sound knowledge of international rules and aglobal and international vision, to better provide excellent and efficient legal service for implementing China’s national economic development strategies (suchas the “Belt and Road”) and for Chinese enterprises/citizens to “GoingGlobal, Ministry of Justice decided to establish a national talent pool of foreign-related lawyers.

Uponthe submission of materials organized by and the preliminary approval conductedby the local government, Ministry ofJustice recently announced the List of Thousands of Foreign Related Lawyers in the Country. As to be made public, about 985 lawyers fromthirty provinces were selected into the list, including 170 lawyers from Beijing.
